Now that I have played with my RAW file in LR how do I file it and send it to CS2. I am working with a 40D and understnad that CS2 is not compatible with RAW files...do I have to change them in LR to something else that is compatible? Any help would be appreciated.

You would do all your RAW adjustments in LR, then in the toolbar (I think under photo) you would select 'Edit in CS2' it will open a dialog box, and you can choose to edit a copy WITH LR adjustments or without the LR adjustments. {Basically it needs to render a .jpg, .tif, or .psd before further edits in Photoshop or other image editor.}

You can also "Right Click" on the photo and you should have an option to "Edit In Photoshop".

If you are not interested in keeping your edited copy in your Lightroom library you can simply export the image as well. I don't keep my edited copies in the library as a rule. I export them as a TIF file to a specified folder and then if I need to do anything to them I simply open them from there.

You can build different user presets that will suit your different needs. You can then right click on the image and go to image and choose the one you want.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
