He was in a studio that I shoot in the other day with a 5D in hand and looking at my 1DMKIII and another photographers 1DSMKIII. He has a lot going on with his lighting I can tell you that. He also has a lot going on with his post.

Considering a lot of what he does is lighting and processing I didn't pay too much attention to the gear so much as him talking about his entire process. It was rather interesting.

No different than Ansel planning and then executing in his darkroom, just updated for the computer age.

Dorman Goldmember 4,661 posts Joined Feb 2006 Location: Halifax, NS More info | Apr 30, 2008 20:44 | #14 In terms of lenses most of it looks like it's done with a wide angle - look into a wide angle lens for whatever body you are using and you should be able to achieve the same kind of perspectives. Then work on lighting and crazy post processing. Do a search here for Ryan Flynn, nickname "Dr Flynn" as he's done some work that is quite Dave Hill inspired with a 16-35 and 10-22.
