Hello people i am new in this forum.
As you may realised from the title i am the rpoud owner of a powershot G1 and after 6 months of a perfect relationship the G1 decidedto start palying with me. So ive checked the net i did the firmware upgrade for a couple of day everything seemed fine but a couple of days later the camera returned to the usual problems which is freezing in any position with no reason and swicthing off while taking photographs.
Yesterday i saw in this forum about the fuse modification and i couldnt wait i change the fuse straight away but nothing seems to happened i ve got the same problems. (camera freezes and swicthing off while taking photographs its like running out of battery)

Please if you have any solution to my problem late me know.
Its not that i do not have another camera but i really like the G1 i know they are not that expensive to get know but i am so stuborn i want to fix MINE :D

Anyway
i forgot to introduce myself
My name is Mike I live in London Uk but i am originally from Greece (small country in mediterenian sea )

thanks in advance for any replies

Mike

Hi, Mike. Welcome aboard!

Battery is possibly going bad and not holding a complete charge?? Just a thought.

You could also try resetting the camera to its default settings and reformat your CF card. Just a few more ideas....

Consult your manual for resetting defaults. I've never owned a G1 so I couldn't tell you exactly how to do it.

You could also remove the backup battery for a few minutes and then replace it. That usually resets the settings, but you mght have to take your camera apart to do it. Again, I don't know where the backup battery is located on the G1.

Did you check the fuse again? There might be another problem, such as a short, that is causing the fuse to blow. I assume you replaced the fuse with one of the same size and amperage rating?
