Help!!!

I Cant get my camera to do Raw+jpeg anymore. When I set in on that now for some reason it just gives me 2 jpegs. Then I set it to just RAW and that works...I dunno what to do

Did you check the mode you're on? I can't recall, but some modes only allow you to shoot in certain file type only. What camera you have?

RAW onto works in the creative modes - ie P, Av, Tv, M.

If you are attempting to download from the camera without having installed the Canon software, the Windows wizard will not recognize CR2 files as such, but because it sees the embedded jpg it will label them as jpgs. Use EOS Utility as the camera/computer interface or use a card reader, through which the RAW files will be properly seen.

I have been able to work with RAW on this same computer but I recently got a virus and I dunno if its possible but I think it corrupted my memory card. I reformatted it and everything. The only time a RAW file shows up is when I set the camera to RAW only.

Was that after you have tried locating the RAW files via Card Reader?

Yeah, I actually use the cable right now ( I know its dumb but I cant find my card reader lol) but I have been doing this forever (just takes longer of course) now it just shows up as 2 jpegs with the same file size and name

sorry, I must really sound like a noob here but seriouslly I had no problem till I got this virus

Buy another card reader, seriously, it's easier than trying to work it out.

I actually just tryed this with my friends card reader and it still did the same thing, so I tryed taking the same shot with his memory card in my camera and THEN the Raw showed up...Is my memory card blown?

I think it's very unlikely to be the card. If it can store a jpg it can store a raw. You didn't touch a single control? Stick it in M mode, format the card, put it in RAW only, and see what happens.

Hmmmm.....strange. But try this, format the card using your camera (it's in the menu option). If that doesn't fix the RAW problem, format the card using your computer. Hopefully that does the trick.
