I know I broke a cardinal rule by not having the shooter's face...but I like this one.

Who says that it's a cardinal rule? No-one would sit at the side of the pitch if that was the case!

I agree a shot from 'behind' can have great impact. This one seems to have missed its focus by a foot or so, and also seems like a crop of a really small part of the original image (unless the quality has just been reduced in the posted version).

Although, exactly WHERE the focus should be on a shot from behind, I don't know. :confused:

Maybe on the goalie? :p

So you didn't get the face. So what. You have the goalie concentrating on the shooter, it looks good.

Thanks for the feedback...the focus is supposed to be on the shooter. Yes it is a crop from a much larger image. Thanks again for the feedback.

It is oversharpened, but I have no issue with not seeing the shooter's face either.


Canon 20D w/grip, 300D, Powershot SX100 w/HF-DC1 flash, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L, 85 f/1.8, 17-55 f/2.8 IS, 50 f/1.8, 580EX and some other stuff...
