Model work sucks here in Jax. You know that. ;) This is why I've been travelling, as much as I can, to source better models. :)

Atlanta is next month...should be fun...as long as everyone shows. ;)

if the flood waters go down...LOL! I have been working with a few new models here and there and more of my regulars just for fun...but portraits is where I am mainly concentrating on now.

Thank you all for the great tips as to where to go. I actually had a really great time.
I ate at Henry's twice because the food was so good. I would almost put it in the top 5 of places I've eaten. Good prices too..
Here are a few shots I liked from the trip. And I was surprised at all the Zombies.. Felt safe the whole time though. Thanks again..

Sorry if this is to many images, but I literally have hundreds, and had a great time.. You all are lucky..

I like the way you do your framing... how did you do this? did you just use photoshop or some other program?

Yes jeromego. I use Photoshop CS3. I have some templates that I've made as well as actions I purchased online at shutterfreaks.com... The images illustrated were all done with a standard action. To maintain consistency, I use the same crop factor for all images and then run it.

Just type in CS3 Tutorials or Photoshop Tutorials and try to keep your head from exploding with all the info that comes back. There's TONS of stuff out there.

You can also do the same with a plugin for light room as well.

This guys has some good stuff. I used them for the longest time. The borders work very well.

I was told today that the zoo is free if you come by boat. Has anyone heard this?

I did see a reference to this online.

I have. I had a friend go to the zoo and actually ask someone, and they said, no, their not supposed to let you in for free, but they don't man the ticket booth on the river, so yeah it's basically free.

Well it's TECHNICALLY not legal, but if the people at the zoo don't care, then who cares? haha. Have means of transport to get to the dock I take it?

Legal is one thing. Moral, another. I'd do the right thing...otherwise, it won't exist one day. Make a donation, on a 'free' day. ;)

Absolutely. I would be going with my children and I am very cautious of the example I set for them. May just look for something else to do.
