Not many people post in this thread.

I'm now working on the southside as a UI/UX web designer for Wisechoice company in mandarin area.

Jerome and I have another shoot scheduled for this coming weekend. March 12th. All the photos from the last one that I took can be found below ...

Is anyone going to be heading to Amelia Island for the Concourse d'Elegance next weekend?

Turns out I'll be going there on Sunday now.
Was hired last night to shoot the event.

Can I ask for who? Are you actually working with the Concourse Commission or is it more of a third party coverage type thing?

It is for a third party.

I just confirmed the details over the phone, and I'll be there for a few hours.
Not sure about the times yet.

That's cool. Good luck with all the people though. I'll warn you, it gets incredibly busy having 10,000 people packed on to 2 greens of a golf course amidst nearly 300 cars. I never have a high keeper rate from the show. I treat it more like a documentary type shoot than anything.

Well he can only afford about 2.5 hours worth of work for me, and I only need to acquire at minimum 50 images for him. So hopefully it won't be too bad. I havent' shot cars in about 4 years though, and used to be big into cars during college and high school. Would hang out at the drag stip in Indy for tuesday night street legals. Sounds like something fun to do for a sunday. I'm sure I'll be bored anyways.

haha, well these are the creme-de-la-creme when it comes to cars. Top notch restorations, plenty of one of a kind's, and some amazing history. I really need to find a website that needs someone to cover the show...might pay back the ticket price at least. Are you getting in as media or are you walking through the front gate like everyone else?

It will be regular admission.
Probably have to fight for some of the photos, but shouldn't be much a problem.

The Concours was fun! Check out my shots in both albums on facebook.

If for some reason you can't view them just add me then you should be fine.

It was fun, but I think the 45/50 dollar ticket is a bit overpriced. Luckily mine was paid for.

You must have been there at gate opening. Very nice job for sure. What lens were you using mostly? I'm thinking a 35 would be ideal, but sadly I don't have one of those. Is that what you were using?

I borrowed Jerome's 17-40L. I would of liked to use the 35 or 16-35L (actually i'm a big fan of the 24L), but I'm not complaining I wasn't looking to rent I just needed a wide angle. As I don't have one yet.

I'd say 70% of the photos are 17-40. Then I used 85L with a ND4 filter, CPL stacked to cut down even more light, and to cut out reflections on the car's paint. I was shooting at probably ISO 50-1600 (for some interiors) and f/4 for 17-40 and 2.2-2.5 for the 85L.

I was there from 930-10am to 12:30ish. Had some awesome cars there. I think it would of been more fun for me if i wasn't so tired from the shoot on Saturday and the lost hour of sleep from the time switch.

I wouldn't mind having the 600K to spend on it!
