I don't think the extender fits on the 75-300... and he'd lose auto focus, if he's using a "student budget" camera.

More info | Hey guys he is on a budget and I love my Canon 70-200 L F4 but for air shows it is to short so I think he might be better off with the /sigma 135-400 for $500 bucks it is a good lens, no IS but neither does the Canon 70-200. MKII N-Canon 20D - Tamron 90MM F2.8 Macro -
