BillBoehme Enjoy being spanked More info | May 02, 2008 21:14 | #2 Either there is a lot of light pollution in Yonkers or the sky had a low overcast on the night that you made the shot. If you can get a clear night so that the sky is darker, I think that it would help. Overall, I think that it is a good shot with a good exposure level. The lights do not appear to be overly blown out which is good. It appears that the sharpening is rather strong and reducing it might help. Atmospheric haze in images? BillBoehme Enjoy being spanked More info | No, my opinion is that you went the wrong way in trying to improve it. Actually, I don't think that the image can be made better than it is in your original post. Atmospheric haze in images? Click for Tutorial to Reduce Atmospheric Haze with Photoshop.

My suggestion would be to either reprocess the RAW file (assuming you shot it in RAW) and mess around with the setting until you find a more neutral color balance (maybe try "florescent" to neutralize the orange or just play with the "Tint" adjustments) -or- trying using something like the White Neutralizer filter in Nik Color Efex Pro (it's a Photoshop plugin).
