I sat out in my backyard yesterday briefly before the rain, hoping to get a yellow-rumped warbler. We are literally being invaded by them. They weren't being cooperative, but this Lincoln's sparrow was, bringing my yard list to 47. Let's hear it for our native sparrows!

What a shot. Cute little guy too.

Went to Myrick park a couple times this week and there are tons of Yellow rumped Warblers, everywhere you look. :)

My Tree and Chipping sparrows are now back and I have a little Field Sparrow coming up from that farm out back now that the HOSP swarm is gone. ;)

Heh, actually I was just looking at my list, and realized that I left out a few. It's up to 50 now. This is the only bird list I keep.

Thanks, it is a cute little sparrow. Had to look it up in the guide to find out for sure what kind. I have a bunch of chipping sparrows and a ton of white throats. Those butter butts are everywhere, I was sitting in a meeting at work today and there was one right outside the window!

What a beauty, Liz. Nice shot.
50 in your back garden is impressive too, I'd be lucky to get past 5! :D

That image really pops even though the light and colors are subtle. Outstanding shot! Wish I had a 50 specie backyard.
