Which is better?
I'm a noob when it comes to features, and what all that jargon means... So I'm turning to the pro's..
Both are 8MP

Those (including myself) who updated the camera's firmware today report it's like having a new camera.

Marketing strategies are created and put in place long before production begins. The decision was made to introduce the camera on a certain date...and that deadline had to be met. They went with the best product they could provide as of that date. Fortunately for us, they continued development...hence the firmware update. It sure beats seeing them abandon the Pro1 and then suddenly have Pro2 come out with all these features in it, doesn't it?
