I am trying to get on this website, or a similar one, to sell some of my images to support this expensive hobby.

However, I just tried to upload a couple images and they were rejected due to being to small in file size. The images were shot with a 400D and minimal PP was applied. However, I resaved the files as JPEG instead of TIFF and lost a lot of data.

1. Are there any websites that will take these photos?

2. What can I do in the future to avoid this happening?

3. We have a local artisan's guild that I thought about joining and just selling prints there. Does anyone here do this? This also might be a bit more of a commitment than I am wanting as I am just a hobbyist looking to offset costs of my wish list. ;)

I now shoot with a 30D and I guess I need to start shooting in RAW and saving as TIFF. Would this help?

Man this kills me because a couple of those shots were literally a once in a lifetime chance...

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Search Alamy here on POTN. This has been asked before.

No worries. I've been guilty of this myself. I have found that almost all the questions that my feeble mind can come up with, have already been asked and answered. Google search and POTN search is a great place to start. If nothing after those, by all means, ask. Good luck w/ Alamy.
