Thanks Thorrulz, I love the wee fifty - I keep making plans to buy a 1.4 purely because of the metal lens-mount, but the quality of this wee lens is incredible (especially for the price). My 1Ds only gets occasional use at work nowadays (I use a pair of 7D's for weddings and events) but for portraits I absolutely LOVE it! Couple it with good glass and it's unbeatable, IMO.
These shots were taken with the 1Ds and 70-200 f4L (non-IS) for a client who runs a hair & beauty salon and some of the shots have been blown up to A0 size by them and look great (tbh, I didn't expect them to cope with such a big enlargement and told him that, but I was really surprised - not to mention impressed)

Those are really good portraits KSG. I sold my 7D and picked up a 5D since I don't really shoot moving subjects much nowadays. I've always liked the 1D bodies and their AF ability so I'll most likely pick one of these up next time money permits.
