canonloader Cream of the Crop More info | May 04, 2008 16:41 | #6 I have the 300/4 non-IS Prime and the 70-200/4 non-IS zoom. Last summer I used a Bigma and 30D and did OK. This year I am going to concentrate on using the 1D Classic with the 70-200. I know I can get within a couple feet of them and the 1D can shoot at 8 frames a second and synch with the flash to 1/500s. I can't wait to test my theories, but, like you, no hummers yet. My first shots from last year were June 3rd though. Mitch- ____...^.^...____

We're you referring to the clear glass as opposed to red? We make our own sugar nectar and don't add the colorant. It's unnecessary. Thanks tekkie! ajosteve wrote in post #5458945 I see them flying around at 100mph here at the canyon. I will get some when the thistle bloom later in the summer. Nice capture of this cute one! Thanks Steve. I still jump when they buzz me! -Carl
