I guess I better start looking. I've had my feeder up for over a week now, just in case. :)

Time to change the juice though.

I see them flying around at 100mph here at the canyon. I will get some when the thistle bloom later in the summer. Nice capture of this cute one!

Man I have had my feeders up for a month and still haven't seen 1 yet! Hope they didn't forget were they got WELLfed last year.
My 100-300 4.5/5.6 usm never did a very good job, so I'm thinking about the 200 2.8l and the tc 1.4 to help me out this year. I wonder how difficult that combo will be to hand hold?

I have the 300/4 non-IS Prime and the 70-200/4 non-IS zoom. Last summer I used a Bigma and 30D and did OK. This year I am going to concentrate on using the 1D Classic with the 70-200. I know I can get within a couple feet of them and the 1D can shoot at 8 frames a second and synch with the flash to 1/500s. I can't wait to test my theories, but, like you, no hummers yet. My first shots from last year were June 3rd though. :)

We're you referring to the clear glass as opposed to red? We make our own sugar nectar and don't add the colorant. It's unnecessary.

Thanks Steve. I still jump when they buzz me!

I just mix sugar and water 1:4 and boil it. I just call it juice.
