I wonder if the price for the 5d is for the kit? If not looks like I'm going to buy a 5d that would be a great price $300 off.

Should be for body only or kit.

Why? $200, is $200. I really dont care if they crap list me, there are hundreds of other retailers out there.

It amazes me on website forums that some people have no care about hard earned money. Maybe you make so much you dont care, but I do. And $200 can come in handy.

If they dont want to help me out, considering the printer I ordered is on back order, then oh well, I will send it back and buy from B&H.

Or maybe you can send me $200, since it is not that much to you.

The price was good enough when you ordered it, so all of a sudden it is no longer a good price? You agreed to purchase it at x amount of dollars and now you are complaining.

If i were you, I would cancel the printer anyhow and put that money to good use so that you can put food on the table and pay the bills. It is not about them "helping you out" it is about YOU helping YOU out.

it is no longer a good price...he can get it for $200 less

he's got 14 days to return the product...if the price goes down within those 14 days...it's certainly acceptable to try and get the lower price....any store would/should do that for the customer...and i don't think he's complaining...he's trying to save money...what any logical person would do

Well, I just purchased a 70-200 f2.8 IS and a 100-400 IS 2 weeks ago not knowing if and when the rebates would actually happen. My reason for buying was to do it before the price increase. Guess what....the price on the 70-200 is now $30 less on the site! Yes I will call and ask for the reduced price and about a credit for the upcoming rebates ($100 + $125 = $225). That kind of money makes it worth my while to make a couple phone calls. I have nothing to lose.

I have read several post here and other forums about this same issue. Not having any experience personally with Amazon but from what I have read, Amazon is very consumer friendly on matters like this. The way to work around this is simple. Claim buyers remorse within the 30 day return period then repurchase the same item at the reduced price from the rebate.

Just my 5 cents worth.

My husband was going to let me get the 40D today for Mother's Day but I told him to wait a week in case this rebate is for real! I sure hope it is, saving $200 would be great!

Yeah, it looks like everyone just increased their 40D prices.

I am buying a 40D as soon as the rebates begin.

I just received an e-mail response from B&H about the Canon lens rebates. He told me that for now the May 18th rebates are a RUMOR. That on the 18th they will know. If Canon USA has rebates, they'll be participating in the program.
