It was fun to shake out the cobwebs and take some football shots again. Since I almost exclusively have shot my kid's High School games at night, I was excited to go this daytime event, although the midday sun was kind of harsh.
C&C always welcome.

You know, I think I put up a bunch of red "X's" yesterday, because that's what I saw when I logged on at work. I think I fixed it.

Either that, or this is one of those posts that don't strike a chord, which is cool also. It is baseball season, after all.

Personally, I was excited to see some football pictures! We just finished Lacrosse and are skipping baseball entirely this year, so football is up next.

I think your pictures are wonderful! Maybe a tad soft (did you sharpen them at all in PP?), but I love the action you've captured. Were you using your 300mm? What were your settings?

Thanks, Debbie. Yeah, I guess a couple of them are a bit soft. I did some sharpening in PP, but not tons.

I shot manual, all with the 300MM. I almost always shoot manual, but maybe this is one time I should have gone AV, since the harsh sun was different on different part of the field, and I couldn't always adjust fast enough when sweeping to a downfield play. EXIF should be embedded, if you wanted to see the settings.

Then again, maybe I'm just a bit rusty.
