I have been asked to shoot a wedding July 8th. I have been working with a photographer for about 10 months now, and we do anywhere between 45-55 weddings a year. We charge anywhere from 3,000-12,000 a wedding. Now I mainly help him move lights and have been doing a lot of second shooting. I feel I am getting good enough to start shooting small weddings. I have been asked to shoot a wedding for my best friends cousin. The only problem is, I don't know how much to charge her. I have the equipment and have the skill, just need to know how much to charge. It is an outdoor wedding. I don't know how many hours it is, but I am just going to charge them a flat rate no matter how many hours. I am also going to just give them the disk. So if anyone has a price, i would love to hear it.

Charge them what your time is worth to you given your skill and background.
