Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of selecting a larger softbox/light modifier for my two-head Elinchrom kit. At the moment I have the cheaper 65cm (26") and 56cm (22") Portalite softboxes. What I'm looking for is a larger, softer light source, and the one Elinchrom softbox that caught my eye was the Midi Octa Light Bank (http://www.bhphotovideo.com …Midi_Octa_Light_Bank.html (external link)). I'm not ready to spring for the 190cm (74") version of this at $1100, but this one seems like a very nice bit of kit.

What are the advantages of this over, say, the 100cm (39") Rotalux? (http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ux_Softbox_for_Flash.html (external link)). Again, I cannot spring for the 145cm (57") version of this just yet...

I'd appreciate any advice you might have - especially if you have used one or both of these, or similar products from other manufacturers. This will be my first time working with larger light modifiers, and even though I'm definitely ready for it, I want to make sure my money is spent wisely (at least in the beginning :) ).
