we found out about this show which is near to us, we usually just go to VW meets so was nice to check out other makes for a change

i fell in love with this 1978 ford cortina, 25,250 miles from new, had been resprayed at some point, but was a ghia, so shag pile carpet, wood trim etc, only £2000!!

Good show! Some could use a touch more sharpening.

Cool shots. That Cortina sure brings up some good memories. My dad used to own a blue one. :)

Looks like this was a fun shoot. Love the rusty old VW, complete with luggage rack & evaporative cooler. :)
What is the red car in the first image?
Also, Are those European Fords the ones known as Cortinas?

hi, cheers, they are all as straight from the camera, im still learning the settings on it:oops: then i shall have a bash at playing with them:)

its a ford escort cosworth, i dont have a full picture of it, this has the front in it, and the second is the only full pic of one i have

im not sure what the red car was called, i think it runs on a 2 stroke motor

the brown one is a cortina, as is the green one in the picture i just posted
the red

pic 2 is a Mk2 ford escort mexico

pic 3 is a Mk1 ford escort mexico

pic 4 is a ford consoul(sp?) classic

pic 5 is a Mk4 ford cortina

pic 6 is a Mk2 jag

pic 7 is an austin allegro

sorry i should have put what they were with the pics:)

I sure like the Monte Carlo edition Escort Cossie in the last pic, if I remember rightly they only came in two colors.
The Maroon/Burgundy and Green. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The Escort Cossie sure does look better with the Moretti headlights

That is a classic car I will always remember and wish I owned, I even remember the commercial on TV in 91/92 with Brian May singing Everything we do is driven by you.
