How many is too much?

Maybe the answer to this question is in the manual, and maybe I'm too lazy to look it up! :)

Anyway, I'm talking shutter actuations or releases. I've put on about 7,000 in the last 2 months. Is there a point when I should take the camera in for maintenance to tighten the "duma-flickies" and "thinga-mabobs" that may loosen or wear out after so many shutter releases? Is there a magic number for preventative maintenance purposes?

Just shoot away till it fails. Then Canon can replace the shutter mechanism for under 300 bucks I believe.
