in pawn shop around my house.
It look very nice in body with no any mark on it.
It is 250$ in cash.
1.It is valuable to buy it or not?
2.How can I know it can work in long period?
please help me.
Thanks ^^

That looks like a great deal, especially with the lens included. I'd go for it.

If the camera is still working, $250 is a great price. There is no way to tell how long it will continue to work, but the same is true for a brand new camera as well. I say go for it.

the morality of buying from a pawn shop keeps me away from those places.

$250 for any XT really isn't a deal of the century, especially at the pawn shop.
Sure, it comes with the kit lens, but you've got no charger and you have no idea how many clicks or where it has been.

I would personally pass.

+1...if the shutter goes and you gotta get it replaced you will have lost any savings from buying new. There is just no way of telling what that camera has been thru...barter it down to at least 200, its a gamble, could pay off could not.

Morality? Someone needed money, pawned an excess piece of gear, and then didn't redeem it.

Many pawn shop sellers never intend to get their stuff back.

What's the problem?

He probably meant the amount of stolen property that ends up there. Not sure about where you are, but here in Vancouver our property crime rate is pretty high (lot of people trying to support their drug habit) and a lot of the stolen property end up at pawn shops or to a lesser extent being sold through the buy & sell, ebay or craigslist.

I'm near San Francisco and lived/worked there for many years.

Looks to me that eBay and craigslist are the are the primary outlets for stolen goods these days...

Thanks for all of your replies.
If I compare this camera with the
"Canon EOS-30D Digital SLR Camera Body Kit with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens - Refurbished by Canon U.S.A."
649.95$ from Adorama.
Which one is better?
Because I have low budget for it. - -"

I'd get the 30D from Adorama if you have the money, but the 350D would be a good budget buy.

350D takes excellent photos -with a good lens. Take your CF card in and take a few photos -use flash etc. Look at photos back home - if all is Ok - buy it.
