I have a 30D and a 430EX. I like to use the center point focus, because it is faster, but does the E-TTL work better when it has all the focus points to work with? My understanding is that the E-TTL 2 meters from all the focus points, so if you just had center-point focus, and you focused (and metered) the persons face, then the tux and or wedding dress might not come out right.
