Polfilter for portraits

Hi.

Is there any benefit using circular polarization filter for portraits, even indoors?

Just curious.

I used to use it when I was a wedding videog.

I found it always helped cut down on reflections, shine of people's faces, glasses, etc.

When it comes to photography I'd say It would help with the shine people have naturally.
Once you hit them with the flash the oil on their faces really becomes evident.

As far as eye glasess in portraits it may have some use but a bit limited.
I figure most people ask the person to take of the glasses, tilt the head, or use 2 strobes to create an x pattern and cut out the reflections.

Generally I found that using the PL really help define the colors better.

I've used a PL filter on my 85 1.8 outdoors for a few times and I like the effect it had on people (+ it cut down on the light which helped when you try to use the lens wide open).

Great. I will buy an 85mm 1.8 this month, would love to se exaples of one shot from that lens with pol filter on.

I will post some from once I get home.
The pics are on my home PC and even though I have my camera bag with me I left the PL filter home (otherwise I would've taken some now and posted them).

Here are 2 pics I just took right now.
This was with the 85+PL filter under fluorescent lights.
The only thing I did was the WB+clarity+vibrance+sh​arpen+local contrast.
Taken with the 10D ISO 800 shutter 1/50 -1/60 @ f2.
Tried to get a fluorescent (like 1/60) friendly shutter speed.
No flash was used.
