We don't have to learn it, that which we are not born with, we get with our mothers milk, it's only "the foreigners" wot has to learns it ;-)a

Given some of the foods eaten in the UK, this may explain alot. :p

Apparently our national dish is now Chicken Tikka Masala (with Pot Noodle coming a close second, and no I have never eaten one)

Question for you all.. What do you think of the Xsi going to SD cards? Is Canon moving that direction too like Nikon? I hope not, I have a LOT of CF cards and if they move their newer bodies to SD I will be upset. :(

Being SD is a much smaller size, I would not doubt it, but you never know. The cost of memory cards, compared to that of the camera, has dropped dramatically over the last few years. A 1G Extreme II card 3 years ago was about $200 CAD, and now a 4G can be bought for under $75 locally. So, it changing over now would not be anywhere near as expensive as it once was.

I have never eaten it either, but it does look like an interesting dish. I love Indian foods.

They have many noodle products like that here, where you just add hot water. Our kids like them for lunch. I have tried some, and while not all that nutritious, they are a nice quick hot snack.

Ahhh, something like top ramen or cup-o-noodle then? Most of those I cannot eat. A company called Thai Kitchen makes some that are gluten free though. They last with me for about an hour though... rice noodles and some spices don't really do all that much to fuel this machine.. :D

Jim do the 5D and 40D take the same battery?

Yes.

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #5530601 (external link)
Yep, not sure about the 10D, but the 20D, 30D, 40D and 5D all take the same battery, that is a great thing.

And the D30, D60 and 300D (original Digital Rebel).

I think the 450D uses SD because it's intended to be the upward path into the DSLR world from all those P&S users; I'd hope the big cameras stay with CF because the SD cards are just too small to handle, especially with gloves on. i also think the CF cards are more tolerant of abuse. And once people start shooting RAW and discover what changing SD cards is like, they'll see the wisdom of the larger CF cards. It's not so bad with a P&S getting 400-500 JPEG shots on a 2 GB card, but that same card in a 450D is only good for 100 or less when you shoot RAW.

I was amazed that my brother's G9 took SD cards, my G3 is a CF camera and I assumed they kept it all the same. I saw someone post earlier on another thread about having SD cards for his new Xsi
