Sounds like Dell over there is more expensive than Dell in the UK. I could get a decent machine over here for £300-£450 over here, that's about $600-$900 - Core 2 Duo, loads of ram, huge hard drive, etc.

Nope. Not more expensive. That's exactly what I ordered this morning. It cost $686.

My editor wants me to statrt uploading my finished images to the paper's FTP site, instead of sending them to her by email and I need a good FTP application. She said she has something called Ipswitch... I'd like something that is easy to use and won't cost me an arm and a leg if I have to buy it.

I have three or four FTP programs installed on this computer, but my favorite is NetDrive (external link). It assigns a drive letter to the computer and runs in the background, so you can access the FTP site from any other application, just as if it was another hard drive on your computer. I keep it running all the time with my web site's drive set as drive X:. Can't get any easier to use than that...

Best of all, it's free.

A few snaps from the trip
Out the plane window, watching the clouds was almost like watching the ocean, they rolled

Have no idea what mountain range this is

Somewhere on I-70 where the wind almost knocked me over

And that's it, the extent of my shooting while in a state I have never been before

Hey Lonnie, how is Kitteh doing?

She's ok. I let her out of the bathroom this morning, but then I found a couple more small blood drops on the carpet, so back she went. I don't think she's still pregnant, but I wasn't completely sure this morning. There were no more surprises during the day, though. I need to get her back to the hospital to be spayed, but I can't get that done until Tuesday because of the weekend and holiday.

It has a small house, metal barn that would need some work, and a run in for the horses. We would need to throw up some better fencing.
