Uh, try the 85 1.2 L. You can get coffee waiting for it to focus. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic lens, but speed is not its thing.
That is seriously funny. I guess that is why the main use of the lens is portrait...or so I have seen. No need for great focusing speed there.
yeah...the 400 f5.6 and the 300 2.8 (of ours are hyper fast at acquiring focus)
most of our others are average-fast focusers
the 85 1.2, the macros, the tamron 28-300 (of our lenses, past and present) are SUPER SLOW focusers.
I would naturally assume that the longer telephotos or zooms would focus quickly, but never would have thought that there was such a large gap in the amount of focus time.
Yep. I was laughing about the irony of that, too.
The hospital where I work is about two miles northeast of Universal Studios and the smoke from the fire was blowing west, so I didn't smell it when I was up on the roof. But the first several miles of my route home is to the west and I got to drive right through that huge smoke cloud. That stuff positively REEKED! I've never smelled a fire that smelled that strong and bad. What the heck was burning there?!? I was wondering what kind of chemicals were blowing around in the air.
I hate driving through the smoke of what ever is burning...even if it were trees. That smoke from the fire here was the worst I smelled in awhile. Wonder how long it will take em to figure out what the cause of the fire was. Was it in the theme park or the actual movie lots?
