Did I miss why you have cold toes?

It's been a fairly warm day, so we've been out in the garden for much of the day, bare footed.

It's now 6:45pm and the temperature had dropped.

But. I'm still in my baggie shorts and bare feet (a bit like a Hobbit, but without the hairy feet).

An Englishman and an Irishman. Let us know if you want any more information about folks from your neck of the woods.;);):p:p:p

An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman were without tickets for the opening ceremonies of the summer Olympics but hoped to be able to talk their way in at the gate. Security was very tight, however, and each of their attempts was met with a stern refusal. While wandering around outside the stadium, the Englishman came upon construction site, which gave him an idea. Grabbing a length of scaffolding, he presented himself at the gate and said, "Johnson, the pole vault," and was admitted. The Scotsman, overhearing this, went at once to search the site. When he came up with a sledge hammer, he presented himself at the gate and said, "McTavish, the hammer." He was also admitted. The Irishman combed the site for an hour and was nearly ready to give up when he spotted his ticket in. Seizing a roll of barbed wire, he presented himself at the gate and announced, "O'Sullivan, fencing."

Yep. Along with MANY others.
If you liked The Screwtape Letters, you should read Randy Alcorn's "Lord Foulgrin's Letters". It's a newer version of the idea, and he gives all credit to CS Lewis, even mentions him in the book a couple times. It is fantastic.

No thanks. ;) But I wouldn't mind some nice ice tea.

I've read that...borrowed it from a friend a little while back.

The Screwtape Letters. One of the best books ever written.

Ok, now we're back to things I've never heard of again. Hmmm... I wonder if I've ever read anything by C.S. Lewis.

I never was one for "kids" books.

Same guy who wrote Alice In Wonderland

??? Lewis Carroll wrote Alice In Wonderland (he was a borderline pedophile)

CS Lewis was a Minister of the Church
