'Night, Zack.

I think maybe I'll watch the rest of To Kill A Mockingbird, then head off to slumberland, myself. I was up all day because they're painting here, and I didn't get to sleep much during the day. So, I called in "sick" at work tonight. Now, the lack of sleep is really catching up on me...

OK, off to bed for reals this time. I can't even go play with the dogs. I wore them out, and they are all sleeping now.

Manana. You. See. ;)

Not me. Of course, the only time I was ever on the east coast was in the winter of 1981-2, while in the Navy, stationed on a ship based in Norfolk, Virginia. All I remember of the east coast is cold, rain and wind. I never really got off the base while I was there, though. The ship set sail very soon after I arrived, and I was transferred to Orlando, Florida almost immediately when we got back into port a few months later.

I wasn't very fond of Orlando, either... I went from a miserable winter in Norfolk to an even more miserable summer in hot, hot, hot and HUMID Florida. Yuck!

Funny story... When I got out of the Navy, I went back home to live with my parents for a short while. I remember one day while I was telling them about my experiences in Norfolk. Naturally, having lived there for however short of a period it was, I pronounced the city's name like the natives do. My mother, the ultra-religious person she is, got mad. She thought I was intentionally trying to offend her.

That is too funny. I am actually from VA so I can imagine your mother's shock. I guess when you are young you do not notice the humidity. I grew up very close to Orlando and the humidity never bothered me. I went back 17 years ago and was dying from it. My family and I moved back to VA when I was 16 and I hated the winters but spring and fall I loved so much. I wish I had been interested in photography when I lived there!

BTW wish me luck tomorrow. Hondo is having a huge street festival and I am hoping to catch Sam Donaldson there.

Quiet all evening, now I need to go to bed, shooting some senior pictures tomorrow, and now everyone shows up. What's up with that?

Um, is is (was) early on a Friday night maybe. ;) :p

an idea....*starts digging a downstairs*

I am guessing you are out of a frozen ground zone, and have no need for deep footings. Here, it is a must. Besides, a full basement is cheap space to build.

Great shots Terri, looks like a real neat place. :D

Hello all! Things have been crazy here and I have not been able to be online all that much. Went on a nature walk tonight with the boys and stumbled on some prickly pear cactus. Here is a picture.

Hey /Renee. Nice shot. :D

Hi there Marian. I missed quoting you, but some nice action shots there. :D

But I took my very first action shots tonight so I thought I would share them.

Nice you did indeed catch some good action. Show them to the team, maybe they'll let you shoot from the sidelines sometime.:D

Even if you don't it sounds like a good photo op, please share.

G'MAE all, sleep in day and what happens? Wide awake at 4:30. Good time to PP FOTB shots. Did I tell you I took my first "The Rings" shot Thursday? I got the idea it would be good for the CD cover, but I think I cropped it too close in camera for the lable. I used the "brides" bouquet and Curt and my rings. They seem to have gotten a bit scritched in the past 17 years.;)

Good Morning POTN

Our snow is just about gone, it is supposed to be sunny and nice today. One of the guys we were out with last night had some photos on his phone of his sisters place just half and our west of Calgary. They had 30" of snow yesterday morning, you could hardly see the vehicles, very wild. :D

G'MAE Everyone...

I can't believe I landed in bed so early last night! That happened to me last Friday night!

Sadie seems to be settling in around here... The boys are dying because she's not like a dog that comes when called... hehehehe For now we're keeping her out of our bedrooms while we see if anyone has an allergic reaction. We've never had a cat and the boys dad is allergic to cats.
