Is the new Canon 580EX flash overkill for the 10D. Will I be able to use all of the latest and greatest features on this flash. I am currently running a 420EX.
Thanks for the help. I dont know a whole lot about flashes.

The 580EX is designed to take advantage of ETTL2 by being able to use distance information from Canon Lenses that are able to provide it, and by adjusting White Balance. You would do fine by adding a 550EX to use as a wireless master with your 420EX. One World, One Voice Against Terror,
