Hi everyone, I've just been given Aperture 2.0 to play with, and I'm dabbling with a folder of Raw files. Until now I've only used ACR (a lot) and DPP (a little).

Q1: If I've made an adjustment to the White balance, for example, I can turn the WB tick box on and off to see the effect of my WB adjustments. But if I've made several adjustments (eg WB + Exposure + Levels) how can I view before & after? I can turn off the tick boxes one by one, but that's not satisfactory. ACR has a "Preview" tick box which I usually use.

Q2: Once I've made adjustments to one image, how do I apply those adjustments to other images in the library?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Damo77.

A1: You could un-check each box, but that is time consuming. Why not simply click between the master and your newly revised version? You usually can do this by simply clicking the arrow buttons. Or you could put both of them up on screen at the same time using the compare mode.

A2. Use the lift and stamp tools. Lift will copy all your adjustments - you can pick whichever adjustments you want to copy, and the stamp tool creates a new version when applied to a new pic.

You can get lots of really good info by watching these movies:

yeah, if there's a quick key to do this, other than navigation (because sometimes the original is not next to the current edit I'm doing), I'd like to know. I found in Lightroom it was really nice to have that history list, and sort of miss that.

Well I had to get out the quick guide to figure this one out.

If you edit any master, it creates a version. You can scroll between the master and version to see what you have done by simply clicking the "M" key. This allows you to go from version to master and back to version --> very quick and easy, easier then using histories.
