And you realize only www.yoursite.com
or yoursite.com will be mapped, not both?
This is not a problem on Exposure Manager's side. The cname needs to be propogated to appropriate DNS servers and it can be very quick to very long (48 hours is pushing IMHO, but not unheard of). It has to get to the top level domain servers and then be propogated back down.
From the Exposure Manager web site:
Go-Daddy - typical setup:
As reported to us by our users who use "Go_Daddy" as their domain manager, the correct way to enter the CNAME alias information in their administrative area is as follows:
- CNAME alias = your domain name
- Points-to-name = accounts.exposuremanager.com
Have you done this?
Did I do it (the first step) correctly...? Checking your CNAME entry: To verify that you, or your DNS registrar, correctly setup your CNAME, please follow these steps:
- Go to http://www.dnsstuff.com/

- Enter your mapped domain in the 'DNS lookup' box (top right)
- Set the drop down menu from 'A' to 'CNAME'
- Click on 'Lookup'
On the next page you get a table. For the first row, these values have to appear. ANYTHING ELSE IS INCORRECT!
Domain: your mapped domain
Type: CNAME
Class: IN
Answer: accounts.exposuremanager.com.
(notice the period behind .com)
Make sure you use '
accounts.exposuremanager.com' and not your ExposureManager login.
I actually prefer to use something like gallery.mysite.com. This allows me to put any front end I want on my exposure manager gallery and point, via link, to exposuremanager to gallery.mysite.com and turn control to EM.
I do agree it would be nice for them to respond to you. Are you sure they got your email? There is a chance they missed it. Did you communicate it only once? Mistakes can be made. Even innocent ones.
