Canon PRO1.... WAHOOOOOOOOOO

I had a Kodak DC280 (2000?)(Great picture quality, horrible battery life)
Then I went to a DC290 (Late 2000), same as above
Then to a Kodak DC3400( 2002) image quality still impressive for a 2.0MP but the battery life was horrid as always. Hence why I have rechargeables always in stock. But it always had an excellent autofocus...

Then (2004)I got a Canon A95 and I started looking more into Canon. Shortly after I got a Canon G5 and finally my DC3400 a few weeks back was destroyed. My good friends son played baseball with it. That camera had way over 20,000 images taken on it so I got my money's worth. But I was very upset as it was the UE (Urban Exploring) camera and also the Projects camera when we did engine swaps or any other work that I would never subject my G5 or A95 too....

Well now I use the A95 for the ****ty work and UE and the PRO1 will be my newer toy. I was debating on the EOS-20D but then I remember I'd go crazy with lenses and to keep it simple I stayed with the PRO1.

So I goto order it and my one friend said: "Rick, you've always been a good friend, and you always helped my boyfriend out etc etc..." Ok, Pam, where is this going?

Pam said: "Tell me what camera you want and it's yours for Christmas."

I hung up on accident. Hhaahahahahahah I was fuking shocked!

I called her back and she said no joke. So I totally decided against that EOS-20D as I didn't want to do that to her, and I didn't have the cash on hand to send her because she said she would match me $600 towards it. So Friday she ordered the PRO1 for me. Talk about a great friend!

I'll be ordering the Sandisk Extram Ultra 3 CF card when it comes out in a week or so. Does anyone know the ETA as well on this card? I hear the price was to be $139.

Tuesday I get it. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Going from the other cameras to this is unreal. I can't wait. I'll just stare at it for 10 minutes in AWE. Then I'll have to start learning how to really use one without Auto mode.
