Very industrious and wary little bird, no shortage of food for the chicks with both parents returing to the nest with a beak full of lavre and flys. The nest is built in the waterfall and each bird had to fly through a deluge of water to get to it.Hopefully when its drier a shot of the chicks could be on.

Excellent shots Carlton, bonus with a beak full of lavae. Did you use fill flash of somesort here?
Good captures of one of my favourite birds.

1st one looks a little over exposed to me the breast feathers are all blown out, 2nd one is nice.

Try doing a "save as" instead of save for web as it keeps your exif data intact

I'll try anything once, twice if I like it

Great shots Carlton. We have dippers here too, great birds to watch. No better place for a nest heh? What could possibly bother it, a carp?

@Superdiver, yes, they're similar if not the same species. Quite a shy bird too so these are good catches. Shame about the blown feathers in shot one though; maybe the fill flash was a bit too high?
