It would appear that the bracket allows a clockwise rotation of the camera putting the grip on the bottom. Many folks prefer the rotation to be counter clockwise, putting the grip on top. I find the latter method much more easy to control. Dave

titan307 Member 105 posts Joined Aug 2007 Location: ashland city,tn More info | in the picture it is just mountedbackwards. i have the bracket and i am very happy with it. wheni mount mine the button is on the bottom when i flip it. it also seems to give me better control this way when i have the 70-200 on the camera. flips up and down easily and has a screw lock so you dont accidentally flip. the "kickstand" locks it in place when you have the camera vertically.
