First real bird pics from me on here, taken at the zoo in Zurich. Think they are Herons, but don't quote me on that.

Anyway, enjoy.

All with the 5D and 100-400mm IS L

Thanks for the comments. The last shot is definately a stork, they are all over the place nesting, some with chicks as well. No idea on the other two, I was just enjoying a day out at the zoo.

If you know where they are, you find easily the white storks. I've seen 3 today ;-)a

As DDA says, they are quite common in the wild here, along with one or two herons/cranes. Also see a lot of Red Backed Kites just gently idling by. Amazing how much more wildlife there is here than UK, but then there is a lot more greenery here.

Anyway, glad you all liked the shots.
