I was thinking about Manfrotto 190xprob carbon fiber one.

I saw some plates on ebay and only had up to 500d, I'm guessing their the same plate as T2i?

Today my camera just stopped working. Don't know what was wrong with it. I tried charging the battery, removing grip, nothing worked.

^^^whoa, your post just covered a bunch of topics haha.

I bought the 190cxpro3 (the carbon fiber 190 comes in 3 and 4 section versions). I returned it within the week and purchased a Gitzo gt1542T and have absolutely no regrets. The 190 was still too big for me. The Gitzo is significantly shorter and noticeably lighter. Took it out tonight and I barely even noticed I was carrying it (on my backpack).
