A sunset at Portencross tonight with Little Cumbrae Island in the background and a faint Isle of Bute just behind and to the left of that.
My apologies for the "Elephant Man" hood on the outboard but what can you do.
There used to be a lovely old clinker built boat (external link) here a few years ago but a storm put paid to that.

I really like this, you did a great job at capturing the mood. The sky also adds a dramatic element to the scene. Did you use a flash or a long exposure?

Composition is excellent and nicely balanced. Some of the best landscapes I have seen in a while are getting posted this evening.

Thanks for all the kind words.
No flash was used Pendragon, these are HDR.
At the risk of boring everyone here's a couple of panos from the same night.

very well executed
the effect is starting to get on my nerve, though
it is like having all your trebles and basses on all the time
(matter of taste)

I like the first one, but really like the second boat. The one thing that I dont like about the first, is that the boat does not show any of the red color of the sun. its very white, almost like you applied a separate white balance to that part of the image.

That's a very good point.
I'm glad you picked up on it.
Something to consider for the next HDR.
Always learning. :)
