Does anyone know what the model number is for this hood? This is the 77mm filter size lense.

Cheers
Josh

Whoa this is the second topic I've started about this lens with zero results, there just doesn't seem to be alot of info available, if anyone has any info they could tell me that would be great.

Cheers
Josh

Google is your friend: http://www.google.ca …28-70mm+f2.8+EX+lens+hood (external link)

First result takes you to sigma's page for the lens, which has the lens hood model number under a pic of the hood.

the sigma 24-70 EX f/2.8 lens has an 82mm thread. This is one of the reasons i did not buy it.

This is the 28-70, not the 24-70. The 28 has a 67mm filter size

Thank you for getting back to me, but you are all wrong. Those are not the lenses I am looking at. You're right the 24-70 has the 82mm, the 28-70 2.8 ex dg has the 67mm, the 28-70 ex asherical DF has 77mm, it was the older verision of the 24-70. It has been gone for acouple of years now, but I have a change to pick it up, Was testing it out and the results came back pretty good. Nice contrast and colour wide open and good corner sharpness. But looking for info on this lense has been terrible.

Thanks for anymore help.

Cheers
Josh
