Slug and Mite??

Just before I went to bed last night I found this, being new the whole macro thing I had to grap a shot.

looking at the image this morning I saw these little mites on the slug, any idea what they are?

Riccardoella limacum? Or at least a species within that genus.

Just my guess. They are a natural parasite of snails and slugs. Pretty common, but normal folk never get to notice them between the stamping and poisoning, unfortunately.

It's always interesting to see pictures of relationships like these, thanks for sharing :)
