Seriously the 17-85mm is nowhere near fast enough for indoor sports use.

Most guys shooting basketaball use one. f2.8 is slow for high school gyms unless you using trsobes. On top of that you need a lens which can focus faster for use in sports. Fuji XT-1, 18-55mm

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.
