Is this a resonalbe Price 40D + 17-55?

should i wait for the rebates? The only thing i'm worried about is that they might raise their prices to offset the rebate and inturn make it useless??

Don't know if the rates are going to go up or not, but -
Dell has the body only for $1090 and Amazon has the lens for $999 = $2089 both with free shipping. So you might want to shop around a little bit..... and there are post's around mentioning to contact Elan Remford. $975 shipped and paypaled to your door for a 40D.

thanks, but dell adds tax to their and it pushes it back to what other places are selling with no tax. I have been shopping around.

Rebates are coming the 18th....I would wait.

i think the date was pushed back to the 18th in that thread by the threastarter.

the other concern is that what if the the those canon certified sellers up their prices to offset the rebate...which makes it pretty much worthless. :dunno:

I doubt they would do that. those rebates are from the factory so they don't have anything to lose. and it's bad business.
