It is a creative angle that works well. I like it, but the colors seem much too saturated.

Re original post: the tops of the left and right sections of the building aren't horizontal in the first image, and the right side is so much heavier, I just don't find any balance in it, or anything pleasing or suggestive about the inbalance. I'm much more comfortable with the second image you posted - the angle doesn't make the rooftops look quite so skewed, and the reflections from across the street help enormously with the interest factor. The small patch of orange bottom left helps balance the larger but harder wall right. Tone mapping worked pretty well. Cheers, Tony
