Need some direction witht lighting for small studio port and on outside port.

You need the best strobe you can afford, and a reflector. Start with that, and let us know how it goes.

While overly simplistic. That is absolutley correct! Dont skimp on the lights if you dont have to. Figure a budget and max it out to get the best you can. There are so many lights I cant recomend one with out knowing your style and likes. But a lil research will help the decision.
