V8 Supercars - Barbagallo - Friday Practice

headed up to the local track yesterday for friday practice before round 4 of the V8 Supercar series on Sunday
I borrowed an older sigma 400mm f5.6 from work for the weekend, its aperture doesnt work, so shutter speed was controlled with a Polarizer and ISO, first time i have shot with a long prime lens too, the sharpness of it (when i did my bit right) Is amazing

love the minis! i want one so bad,, but then i couldnt haul my other toys... are the others alfa romeos???

actually its brand new in its box, just its an old one that works fine with film cameras, but needs a new chip to work with the newer cameras, AF works fine though
its on loan from work, and i actually enjoyed shooting with it, it focused as quick as my 70-200 even with a polariser, but it was double the length
just had to think a little and use ISO instead of aperture to control shutter speed

they are a nice car, my mum has a cooper s cabrio, but they arent a real mini

i only went up yesterday, my brother was there today though
hope you got some good shots, and avoided the rain
