Now this is getting interesting, I have to ask, how do you have the crop lines in the view finder? How is this turned on? Is this possible with a 30d???

Pat

It is possible in any camera that you can remove the focus screen. You can buy high prised ones but there is a really cheap alternative. The cameras I use at my job(also my own personal) we have installed a thin clear litho film right on top of the view finders focus screen inside the camera. This film has crop lines for 8x10 and dot line to show 5x7. The company I work for does high volume of school day portraits so the mask is also set up with a "head box" to help get proper head sizing and placement consistently.
