Focussing Issues shooting with RC1

Hi, I am getting all my pictures out of focus when i trigger with wireless remote control RC1. I set the aperture to F5.6 and camera mounted on tripod and changed the lens to manual focus.

Do I need to change any more settings to get the pictures in focus?

it possible to half-press the RC-1 for auto focus?
