Nice series Alan. Looks like your MKIII performed really well.

Did you use the 100-400? Were you in the audience or did you have accreditation?

The only "criticism" i have is your general selection of the messy backgrounds. Shooting at 5,0-5,6 doesn't help much either to blur the background enough.

I know it's very hard in general on shows to find spots with clean backgrounds but on places like Badminton and Hickstead you can always find some areas that are relatively clean.

As most of your shots are in the 70-200 range maybe shooting fully open with the 70-200/2,8 would have been a better alternative to isolate the subjects more.

# 5 is an awesome shot, just perfect!!! # 3, 8 and 9 could have been shot from a lower angle to clean up the image.

Nice captures! I particularly love #2! Backgrounds are a bit busy on some, but the colours are fantastic.

Brilliant work. 2 and 3 are very special (IMO)...

Must be my twisted American sense of humor but I found myself wondering just how do horses play badminton? ;)

Ballon - lol have you ever been to Badminton on an event like that ?.Because there is SOOOOOOO many peaple, there is NO WAY for me(another spectator) to get a "clean" shot.

Anyway i wanted the spectators in the BG.Adds to the image IMO.

I know Alan the amount of people on these shows is scary. Hickstead in July is even worse!! You need to arrive at 5AM get get the best spots ;-)a. I can agree to some extent that sometimes to see blurred out audience can add to an image (like your panning image or No2) but parking lots are not one of my favorite background to be honest.
