Hi,
New to photography (hobby for about 1.5 years). I purchased a 40D recently and shot this on a friend's roof. 10-22mm used on a tripod. Photomatix used.

Cheers, Tony 5D and too much glass. Mamiya 645E.

The buildings on the right margin are nice anchors which support the rule of repeating objects. I also like the convergence of the shore line. Under exposed but not enough to toss. PS: What is Photomatix? Photomatix is one of the leading HDR creation programs, made by HDR Soft.

I Like the colour contrast between the city and the blue and the sky makes the city look like it goes on forever. Where in the world is Chambers St ? Chambers St is in New York City. If you look in the distance, you can see the Empire State Building. I've added two more shots. 1st is same setup as initial shot but obviously later at night. 2nd shot is looking East into NYC. If you look carefully, you can see the Brooklyn Bridge. Weird though when compressed at Imageshack, image looks much crappier than it should.
