Hi,

I am looking for some piece of advice. One of my pictures is being used on a latin myspace page without my permission.

I tried to contact MySpace but I don't get any reply. Does somebody know who or where I can ask for this?

Normally I don't mind when people want to use my pics, but I was always asked first, and my name was mentioned on the page or on the pic.

It kinda pisses me off, .....

Tom

Same thing happens on facebook often, they will try to wipe their hands from it because it's a user that posted it not the company. Check their terms of use and then check how to report improper use. Usually they will give themselves a 2 day-1 week window for responding. If they don't, send an invoice for the cost of putting the image up. After that, seek legal help if it does bother you enough.

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

This has happened to me a couple times but they were just linking directly to my hosted images.
So of course I scheduled an appointment with my camera and ass, uploaded the pics saved as the same file name to my website, and voila, instant Myspace background image.
One of the full size "designs" stayed up for a good two weeks in Malaysia and the other replaced an assortment of guns photo a wannabe thug was displaying.

Good times

Same things happens on eBay from time to time. I've seen some great pics of dog poop substituted.

Contact an attorney and sue them for copyright infringement. If you are a member of PPA contact their attorneys. Once word gets around that you are not going to stand for it, it will end.

Send them a proper "take-down notice".

Myspace is actually getting better at keeping it down too.

It's myspace, used by a kid. Just configure your server to redirect the request to a picture of tubgirl.

NB: DO NOT GOOGLE TUBGIRL AT WORK. Actually don't google it at all, it's not nice.

Oh my. What the hell is wrong with you!!!

I didn't Google it here at work, but I did on my smart phone. Wow that is disturbing. So I emailed it to my wife. I can't wait for her to get it and call me very upset.;)

Oh dear. Back when I was a freshman in high school, all the seniors on the swim team were joking around about how "awesome" "tubgirl.com" was at practice, and I overheard. After that, I started strongly reconsidering my sarcasm detection skills...
