FEC question

Well I think that this is kind of a noob question, but is there any difference in adjusting the FEC on camera, as opposed to on the flash unit when shooting ttl? Two ways of doing the same thing?

On the flash unit it will go down to -3, where as on camera it only goes to -2.

oh, 550ex and 40d. Thanks!

Either works. However, any setting (other than '0') on the flash will override any setting on the camera). If the flash is at '0' FEC, the camera FEC settings will be in effect.
